Sachai Kendra Nepal is also known as “Ishoriya Marga Bhajan Mandal,” and “Satsang.”
It is a growing cult in Nepal.
The Nepali word sachai bears the meaning “the truth.”
Another word kendra means “center.”
Therefore, we can translate it as “Truth Center, Nepal.”
It means, this group claims to follow the truth.
Let’s discuss what is meant by their next two names. The word Ishoriya Marga means “path of god/godly/divine path.” And Bhajan Mandal means “singing group” (singing hymns). They have called it “Divine Psalm Ministry.” Lastly, their oldest name Satsang means “gathering together for the truth.”
They have a slogan: “Himal Pahad Tarai, Kohi Chhaina Parai, Sabailai Sametne Ek matra Sachai.” It translates Mountains Hills Plain, no one is a stranger, Sachai includes all. (Mountains, Hills and Plain: Nepal covers these three geographical structures).
History of Sachai Kendra
The founder, Prakash Dip Gaire, and his wife Susila (co-founder) started Sachai Kendra Nepal in 2071 BS (2014/15 AD). Their head office exists at Seti Marg Dip-16, Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal. They also have their branches in other cities of Nepal. It is heard that founder Gaire had visited India, from where he brought “Satsang” in Nepal.
In North India, there are three types of “Yeshu Satsang” groups. Hindus had been using the name Satsang. Later, “Yeshu (Jesus) Satsang” emerged while contextualizing the gospel. “Yeshu Satsang” entered into different communities in North India. According to the community, it took three different forms/types. The first type is “Yeshu Bhakti Satsangs.” Second, “Arya Samaj Yeshu Satsang.” Third, “Sikh Yeshu Satsangs.”
Founder Gaire also formed his group in Nepal with the same name “Satsang,” at the beginning. And it seems almost similar to “Arya Samaj Yeshu Satsang.” Therefore, we can assume that the founder Gaire adopted this idea from North India. Later, they focused on their two other names (I already mentioned above). Nowadays, this group is famous with the name “Sachai.”
What is Sachai?
Sachai has stated the following proclamation on their official website:
- The word Sachai means truth.
- Sachai is the light of positive thinking.
- Where there is Sachai, the victory of truth is there.
- We pray to God, we believe in seeking and finding God in ourselves. Not in objects, not in stone and clay, not in temples and idols.
- We meditate on God and give millions of thanks for this precious life.
- We respect human thinking and always strive to change negative thinking into positive in society.
- Make your thoughts and mind higher than mountains. Keep the passion alive even faster than the storm. The world is selfish. Keep your mind focused, not on the world, but on God.
Beliefs/Doctrines of Sachai
Sachai Kendra Nepal has no specific doctrine. However, they seem more like Christians in their appearance, but more like Hindus in their doctrinal belief. We can see some of the doctrinal ideas of Sanchai in founder Gaire’s short article on the official website.
- It is clear that the spirit and true mind is god.
- There are two gods. One is man-made, and another is the God who made man.
- We ignored the creator god because of our negative thoughts. And limited ourselves with the god which is made by our ancestors.
- God is there where there is peace, whose mind is innocent. Whose heart is pure, whose heart is big, there is god.
- It’s easy to receive god, but people are working hard for it.
- Sachai always searches for god, and god is always in (our) spirit.
- People are searching for god in religions. It is a distortion.
- Ultimately, the true Yeshu Masi (sounds like Jesus Christ) will rule over this earth. And we will be that Yeshu Masi.
As we read all these things, it is so confusing. However, if we try to make the conclusion, this doctrine is more focused on obtaining God by our work and strengths. Not only that, they are claiming that we are the true Jesus Christ and ultimately we will rule over this earth. Because, Yeshu is Jesus in Nepali, and Masi sounds like Masihi which means Christ.
Practices of Sachai Kendra
Members of Sachai Kendra Nepal gather together every week. They mostly have four types of activities in that gathering.
They sing bhajan (songs/hymns). Founder Gaire and his wife have written many bhajans. They sing it in their worship service. Bhajans are designed as Hindu’s bhajan, but they have used the words God and Jesus.
They share the testimonies. It is one of the most important things in their gathering. They give enough time to share testimonies. Many of them share how they found changes in themselves after coming to Sachai. How they were healed from their sickness after prayer. Testimony is the greatest tool to attract people in Sachai.
They also have preaching ministry in their gatherings. Preacher takes a verse (or 2 verses) from the Bible and preaches as s/he wants. They don’t have any interpreting methods. Relating the verse in their experience and imagination is enough for them. Especially, they use the New Testament. They use the words God and Yeshu Masi (Jesus Christ?) frequently in their preaching.
Sachai has prayer and healing ministry as well. They pray for the sick in the name of Yeshu Masi (Jesus Christ?). Many people have shared that they were healed after the prayer. They have claimed miracles in their life. Some of those incidents are also going viral on social media. They even pray in tongues. Not only once a week, but they have prayer meetings on other days as well.
Activities of Sachai
Sachai Kendra Nepal has different activities in different aspects. Some of them are mentioned below.
They preach about salvation and healing in the name of Yeshu Masi. There are lots of ways of sharing this message. Sometimes they share it through their life, sometimes even from the Bible. They go to people’s houses and preach. This is how they bring people into their group.
No one should leave his/her religion/religious practices to become a member of Sachai. They can practice their own religious practices. Even at birth, in funerals, in marriage (and in others), members can follow their own religious way or any other.
They organize programs and invite guests from higher government positions. Doing so, they please them and attract people toward them. They say that they are not converting any religion, rather uniting all religions.
Members in Sachai Kendra
There is no exact data on how many people are there in Sachai Kendra Nepal. Founder Prakash Dip Gaire is repeatedly claiming to have almost ten million members in Sachai. However, there is no proof to believe his statement. Nepal has less than thirty million people. If ten million are following Sachai, it comes to be one-third of the population of the country. They even could not have space to gather together every week (if they are ten million). Another thing is they have only 3.4 thousand followers on their official Facebook page. And their official YouTube channel has 49.9 thousand followers. Both statuses clearly prove that there are not many members in Sachai as Gaire claims.
Are Sachai and Christians Same?
This is the main confusion people have in Nepal about whether Sachai is Christian or not. Many people are saying that they are Christians. But, Shachai themselves are always proclaiming that they are not Christian at all. Christians also see them as a pluralistic religious cultic group.
Sachai always claims that they are not a religious group. They say Sachai is the room for all religions. No one should change their religion to be in Sachai. However, they say, all should accept that Salvation is in Yeshu Masi alone. Because of the Name Yeshu (Jesus) and the use of the Bible, people think that they are Christians. Some are even accusing that Sachai is a Christian’s strategy to convert people into Christianity.
Christians completely deny that Sachai Kendra Nepal is a Christian group. Because holding the Bible and pronouncing Jesus’ name doesn’t make a person Christian. Jesus also said that even the false prophets can use His name and perform miracles (Matt. 7:15:23). Sachai just marks some of the limited verses and assigns their members to read only those verses. The main purpose of reading the Bible in Sachai is to make people emotional. They attract people with emotional speech and power performance.

WHY ON EARTH YOU WANNA GO TO THIS FALSE TEACHING AND FALSE BELIEVE?
BIBLE SAYS,
1 Corinthians 15:1-3 KJV
1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
AND ROMANS 10:13 KJV,
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How can my missionary friend witness to someone in this cult. My friend is in Nepal now. It seems that they are misusing the Bible and claiming miracles, but they have no solid foundation.

Let Sachai Kendra prove its own truth by NOT MENTIONING GOD THE FATHER OF JESUS as Pita WHO was FIRST INTRODUCED AS THE FATHER GOD WHO IS SUPRRME GOD. LET Savhai Kendra do their mira les WITHOUT USING THE Name OF JESUS And without referring to the words spoken by Jesus.
